I found that by switching the right foot peg to the left side and the left to the right side a whole new geometry was establiswhed. the result is that the flat side became the top and __not the edge side, as before. This allows ones foot a much improved, lower position. At least I can now find a more comfortable rest! I then had to readjust the brake pedal (there is a threaded hole underneath to acept a screw & lock nut stop).
